About July – 2019 Underwater Paparazzi Calendar
This flag is on the HMCS Yukon Wreck in San Diego. It’s actually a Canadian destroyer that was brought to San Diego to be sunk as an artificial reef. It’s teeming with life and an awesome dive! It’s not for the beginner diver though. The bottom of the wreck sits at 100 feet below the surface and it can be subject to surge and current. But if you have the experience and are looking for adventure, check out one of our local charters to dive wreck alley! Need a boat recommendation? Email me!
Did you see the roughback sculpin last month? They come in so many beautiful colors! This was also taken in La Jolla Shores canyon!
Macro photography brings out some of the most beautiful patterns. I got up close and personal to this anemone in the La Jolla canyon to capture the intricate details of its movement.
Its crazy that this colorful spotted beauty, that is about the size of a silver dollar in this photo, will actually grow up to be a HUGE dark, silvery grey giant sea bass. It can weigh up to 700 pounds and be 7 feet in length as an adult!
You can still get a 2019 Underwater Paparazzi Calendar! Proceeds go to a great cause! Buy your new calendar here and learn all about the featured photos at the beginning of each month.
