Dive Report 12.7.12 – Shrimpy Kind of a Dive

December 10, 2012 by underwaterpaparazzi Leave a Comment

La Jolla Shores, California – Hammerhead Dive Meetup

Lovely evening at the Shores, met up with the Hammerhead Dive group. Topside conditions were relatively easy. Small waves in close sets with the occasional larger wave but no big deal. Plan was to hit the wall and follow it south. And Jeff nailed it. Light surge with 10-15 feet of viz. 20 feet in pockets. It had been awhile since I brought my sea monster (my Sealife camera) into the water so I just spent time getting reacquainted with it. Came across two shrimp that I’ve never seen before, but I have an inquiry into the great and knowledgeable Herb G. to enlighten me. 😀 Also hung out with a decent sized angel shark for a bit.  Shallows were murkey and surgey but we did get bombed by a cormorant! Beautiful night to be out. 🙂
