Point Loma, California – Kelp Forests and New Hope Rock on Waterhorse Charters
Dive # 488 & 489
Its hump day! A mid week day dive is a special treat! I managed to get clearance to take the morning off and join House of Scuba on fun dive out the the Point Loma Kelp! It was beautiful out! Calm seas and good viz! On dive 1 there was easily 30+ feet of hazy viz. Pockets of 15 ft. Dive 2 had a bit more surge but viz was still good at 15-20 feet. I’m not used to seeing lingcod so I enjoyed stalking a few with my camera. 😀 Lots of rock fish out, and of course the spanish shawl! It was really hard to go back to the office and stare at a computer screen after the gorgeous scenery in Point Loma. Gorgeous day on the water, hope these conditions keep up!
